No Music Yet, But At Least We Have These New Frank Ocean Snapchat Filters

Frank Ocean performs during the 2013 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Music Festival at Fair Grounds Race Course on May 4, 2013 in New Orleans.
The world was breathlessly awaiting a new Frank Ocean album on Friday (Aug. 5), but in the meantime they had to make do with a pair of Ocean-themed Snapchat filters. At press time Ocean had not yet delivered his second album, reportedly titled Boys Don't Cry, but the filters  somewhat slaked fans' thirst for something, anything, from the enigmatic crooner.

One looks like a Mac TextEdit window and font Ocean has used on his Tumblr before with the words "Dear Frank Ocean" while the other reads our minds with the plea "waiting for Frank Ocean's album like" alongside a picture of a skeleton. Either can be laid over any picture or video on Snapchat.

Rumors ramped up this week that Ocean would finally unleash the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2012's acclaimed Channel Orange, stoked by a cryptic livestream video of a pair of work stations and a report in the New York Times that said Friday was the targeted release date and that Boys is expected to stream exclusively on Apple Music for at least two weeks.
We'll keep you updated on any Boys news as it happens.
